Very rare squirrel species "Snow Squirrel"
Normally "Snow Squirrels" are found deep in pine tree's,
it is rare to find one perched
out in the open on a fence post. Eugene got really close before it
jumped off..... only
a few feet away. George came upon a large wolf standing
in the trail, "IT" ran off.
Later there was a bobcat along side the trail, in no big hurry to run
away....
Journey
in a Nutshell
Since our last update last night, several of the team went to see original
canadian folk dancing at a local establishment. Jimmy got a special handkerchief
for his dad. We had a few problems with noisy kids making lots of noise
to early in the morning... It appears we came to town during a high school
hockey tournament. We managed to leave Hearst, Ontario about 8:00 A.M.
heading east to Cochrane, Ontario. Very wide and fast trails today... we
made excellent time, making 190 miles in about 7 hours, stopping for lunch
in Kapuskasing. arriving at the beautiful North
Adventure Inn about 4 P.M. In the morning we are planning on heading
east to Quebec..

Nothing like a billboard to tell you where you are.... We also noticed the "1" is missing from the "World #"....did someone else take the title from them ??? The trails were sure world class. | |
