Everyone together at Mountain View Lodge in Searchmont,
Ontario. We were treated to an
excellent home cooked meal by the owners, including homemade
wild blueberry pie (better then
Betty's). They are making us pancakes and french toast for breakfast
in the morning before we start.

Jouney
in a Nutshell
We all traveled from lower Michigan to Searchmont, Ont., about 300
miles north of Caro, Michigan. This years trip is starting with 14 riders
and sleds. including George and Betty Pattullo of Caro, Michigan,
their son Pete Pattullo of Longview, Texas, Eugene & Joann Putnam of
Marlette, Michigan, their Son John Putnam also of Marlette, Michigan, their
nephew Robert Herron of Farwell, Michigan. New riders this year include:
Butch and Jan Bayley and their son Jim of Brighton, Michigan, Joel and
Lisa Peltier, Bill O'Mailia also of Brighton, Ken Garrott of Ann
Arbor, Michigan. Our Chase driver this year is Tim Cockerill of Caro, Michigan.
The new riders arrived in Searchmont earlier in the day and went sight
seeing on their snowmoblies. They managed to get stuck several times and
just made it back in time for dinner "ROOKIES!" Rule #1 - Stay on the Trail
