Map of our route today!
The dotted line shows the actual route we took today, according to the GPS!
Journey
in a Nutshell
We got underway about 8:300 A.M. this morning, We left Hearst, Ontario
and traveled east toward Cockrane, Ontario, The trails were fantastic,
like riding down the expressway, the Snowmobile clubs up here are really
proud of their trial system and keep the trails flat as highway.... they
are better then the roads in Michigan and Louisiana. We arrived about
4:00 P.M.completing about 195 miles today. We will be heading north toward
Abitibi Canyon and the south toward Timmins, Ontario. We will be staying
at a Canadian outfitters about 35 miles south of Timmins. Everyone
loves to read the emails we get each day... keep them coming, ask us a
question, whatever! just click below

For the Caro Rotarians, here is another picture of Betty stuck using a
rest room, the ice at the base of the door did not let the door open very
far..... So you see George here helping betty get out by pulling on the
door as hard as he can.... or is he pushing ?????
Another old snowmobile sitting along the trail.... Anyone know the year
and model of this one.... We were going to try and start it... but whoever
left it, kept the key..... The track is shot! We also saw a wolf run
across the trail in front of us.... he was too fast for us to get a picture....
Here we see the helicopter view of Pete with his sled buried! He was trying
to break his own trail and got so stuck that we had to get a Canadian Mounted
Police helicopter to get him out .... shortly after this picture was taken,
a cable was dropped and his snowmobile lifted out and back onto the trail.
This is what happens when you break rule #1 "stay on the trail"
thanks guys for emailing me this picture.
